Following the disappointment of Bretby closing down and us losing our venue for the winter show. The Show committee has been working non-stop looking for a new venue.
Our current plans are to still hold the show on the same weekend, including holding the dinner dance.
The venue for the dinner dance is now sourced and is located centrally in Burton on Trent, with plenty of hotel accommodation close by and at the dinner dance venue also.
We have looked at a few sites for the show which suit our needs, again within the Burton area, that can help us out as a temporary solution for this year.
All of these sites enable us to extend the show to 50+ show vats, which was our limiting factor at Bretby. At present we have a waiting list of approx 20 people wanting to show and also people who already have vats booked wanting extra vats. The show has proved so popular.
So, over the next few days we will make the decision on what to do.
I am hoping that the EMKC will then be able to make an announcement before the weekend.
Fingers crossed we ‘will have’ a Winter show
