GENERAL DISSCUSION ON ALL KOI RELATED SUBJECTS

Re: Forum

Hi Andy

I was very disappointed that Richard didn’t want you to talk about this forum on the Richdon forum. After all it’s not commercial here, nobody is selling anything. Lets hope you go from strength to strength. :D

To be fair he isn't the only forum owner that pulls posts! Someone on Chat4koi asked if anyone had tried iron sulphate for blanket weed and so I pointed them to the masses of info on Koichat forum relating to this - again i don't think this forum affects A4Koi but hey ho it got deleted.
Problem with this insecure behaviour is that it tends to have an adverse effect we now look everywhere else for anything koi related! Mind you glad I did as i was after some virkon and have a biggish pond and found 10 tubs for just a few £'ss more than I could have got 1 tub from Richdon - checked the use by date and ordered another 10!

Dave,
So sorry I seem to have missed your posts, really good to have you on board, Welcome, Rich has his own way of doing things I guess,
what harm was I doing? you would think another forum, more koi enthusiasts, more trade, strange way to run a business, but I did not give up!!, the message got through judging by the amount of PM,S I had,our forum has increased and already nearly 100 posts in 9 days!! this can only be good for our club.

Regards,

Andy.

Kevin,
Just shows what can be done "with a little help from your friends " 12 new members and well over 100 posts, all this in 10 days!!
getting the Scottish message out there can only help the club, but where are our own members?!!

Andy i think that we have to respect other forums rules even though we think we are doing no harm. We have our own rules on this forum And the Admin can remove these posts if he thinks the rules have been breached.(so no posts on the famous Glasgow rangers) I remember there was a post placed on the forum by a member of the forum without the owners consent . :x (NOT A HAPPY BUNNY) The owners of these forums want there forum to be the best forum in the country and be number one at the polls in a certain mag. As kevin said in another post in the last 10 days we (the forum members) have started to turn this forum around. it can only be good for the club and the koi community in the uk as a whole so if we keep up the posting we can turn this forum around without treading on anybody's toes. What we need is a diary of what the club will be doing for the year, pond visits, dealer trips, monthly meetings, Reviews and pics from these so people will see what we do as a club and pull in more members. ;)

Eck,
In my enthusiasm to promote our forum I did breach the rules of another forum, although this was unintentional and no harm was done I made a full apology to all concerned on that particular forum.
In the last week or so our own forum has gone from strength to strength and exceeded anything I personally was looking for, new members, new posts, and good debating.
With over 100 posts in 10 days, you, kevin, and myself, have worked so hard to make this forum stand up and be counted among the koi community not just in Scotland but GB. as a whole, this has to be good for our club and all concerned with it!.
I wholeheartedly agree with you in that we need to move on to new subjects and start to promote our club and its activities, with a little pushing perhaps we can encourage more of our own club members to start posting, us 3 have done the hard bit, and the time is right for the next stage of our quest to further our forum and more importantly the club'

Hi Andy,
Re Virkon,
Came from Brandan via fleebay Xmas special but I think the offer has ended and yes it is the real MacKoi with shelf life into 2013 so all good. I don't use it all the time but have had a mysterious blister outbreak so used it as the temps dropped and will do so again through Spring as they rise.
Regards
Jane
