Hello Heathens!

GENERAL DISSCUSION ON ALL KOI RELATED SUBJECTS

Hello Heathens!

Postby waddy » Mon Jan 09, 2012 9:01 pm

I'll be up amongst you all soon to sort you all out!

In the middle of February I'll be setting out from ENGLAND - (that's God's own country by the way) together with our three hounds plus Lorna and Mark.

We'll spend the first night in Hawick or 'Hoyk', then Perth, then Helmsdale, then Orkney for two nights!

Yes Orkney - a place you lot never even dreamed existed!

After that Inverness then Fort William via Fort Augustus then Perth and finally back to God's own country - with regrets because I happen to LOVE Scotland!

All this is true except the missus hails from Musselborough!

Anyway I also happen to have a fondness for Koi and so does the wife - a certain Mrs. Hilary Waddington who can be a little feisty at times.

The same bunch of us did a similar journey in February 2010 at the same time of the year when temperatures were minus 20C and we all still say it was the most wonderful holiday we've ever had.

(Hilary was nervous that the hotels would not allow tiny dogs - trust me they would have taken rhinos!)

I've been invited to join this forum and this is my very first post.

This year I'm 69 years old and have been involved with Koi since '72.

If you wish to ask anything about Koi then please do - I'll try to answer.

A thought......

Is it at all possible we could meet up for just one night along our journey and make an evening of it somewhere?

No charge from me - I'm there anyway - mind you, watch out for the dogs!

(Tried to post a shot of them but it wouldn't let me - sorry!)

Peter,
Welcome to our forum, I have spoken to you before on a different forum, some long conversations if I remember correctly, Gods own country is it Mmmm, enjoy your time in our beautiful country the weather this year is somewhat better than what you put up with last year!
The hobby is catching on up here in bonnie Scotland and each year the club is expanding to better things and although I have only been a member for a couple of years I am trying to help as much as I can given my serious health problems, on the koi keeping side I have 10 years under my belt but of course not near the time you have been around the koi fraternity, our members are spread far and wide through out Scotland so this forum is a good way to bring us all together after all we have one thing in common koi keeping, what better subject could there be to pass some time sharing with fellow members.
Regards,
Andy.

Peter a very big welcome from the Scottish Koi Club forum. I hope you enjoy your trip up to bonnie Scotland as for meeting up its a very nice gesture but i heard all about the state you got MrMiyagi into after the open day at Shirley aquatics. (only joking) i am half way through your book as i got it from Santa, very enjoyable piece of literature. I look forward to some of your posts on the forum and some very good debates. I thank you again kind sir.

Eck. :D
