Stew,
first welcome to the forum, very interesting comments indeed, I don't think I will be going to Fujio Oomo and his NND partners to say there water qualty is poor, most likely put me on the first plane home!!

MrMiyagi ,
Also welcome to the forum, like you I clean my filters daily in summer as I have a very high feeding rate during these months, I do also realise that not all members have the time to do such a heavy cleaning regime on a daily basis, both yours and Stews views on Hikui and the cause of it are well appreciated by all the members I am sure of that!!

Regards,
Andy

hell Smokie thanks for your warm welcome to the forum ,its very interesting on my part aswell to see how the scottish cope with there climate ,i know that scottish water is the purest in the British isles and if this is heated to 18 degs +well in reallity the scottish sector should and will produce some amazing pieces (hopefully)

Waddy seems convinced that it's all down to accumulated dirty in the filters caused by infrequent cleaning. If he’s right then anybody with a settlement chamber might need to think again.

Found this treatment for Hikui and carp pox, I have ordered some in the hope it works,
It is called BAOBIO HIKUI MED. and available from most outlets.
