Book One – ‘The Path to Understanding’ or ‘From Mistake to Mystique

This book covers everything Nishikigoi from their humble beginnings to the incredible tategoi produced today. It also covers every aspect that surrounds the overall hobby of keeping Koi which ranges from pond and filter design/construction, landscaping, water management, parasitic/bacterial problems and remedies, vital accessories, Koi shows and tategoi. In short, it encompassess ‘Everything Nishikigoi’ in great detail.

‘The Path to Yamakoshi’ or ‘The Highways and the Byways

This book covers the Nishikigoi producers of Niigata in fine detail and also gives four separate tours throughout Yamakoshi which are fully complimented by the totally unique fold-out area map, the equally unique village maps and the excellent, professional DVD covering, in fine detail, all the same four tours.

I am just about finished the first book from mistake to mystique and finding the book very interesting you can tell by reading this book how much of Peters love of koi and the country have gone into writing the book. Peter again i take my hat off to you sir. I am glad you gave up you music career and found koi.  only kidding mate.

While surfing ebay i came across the above magazines ( rinko & koi nations) And i must say that reading the articles in the two magazines i have learned more from these mags than i have from a certain magazine in the four years i have subscribed to it. the mags are full of useful articles on water, breeders and koi keeping in general. I am now surfing the net looking for more of these mags and would recommend them to any koi keeper. :ugeek: :ugeek:
